Thank you from your U.S. Board Chair
As we come to the end of 2019, I want to thank each of you for your partnership in sharing the transformational message of Jesus Christ in Uganda. The year began with the City Church being able to move from a leased location to a TAM-owned property in the center of Luzira. The City Church is growing; the Fields City Academy is poised to expand to include grades K through Primary 7; Fit For Life is training and sponsoring young business people and Hope House provides safety for 12 girls and young women.
In the U.S., we held our second Vision Banquet in Portland in May to thank our faithful partners and to invite more people to join the work being done by Jesus through Transform African Ministries. We are very close to unveiling a redesigned web site with a new, inviting look and stories of what God is doing through your partnership in the gospel in Uganda. We are improving and expanding ways you can partner with us in prayer, on missions trips and by supporting the ministry financially.
We are also excited to announce that in partnership with Bend’s Journey Church, the Tusinze Worship team will be touring the northwest from late February to May, bringing the joyous and exciting style of African worship to us, along with a Biblical message from Pastor Alex. We will be sharing more information on specific dates and locations in early 2020.
A scripture comes to mind that I believe is relevant to the work of Transform African Ministries, found in Isaiah 43:19, which says:
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
The ministry of TAM is only about seven years old. Many of you have been with Alex and Faith from the beginning. My own path crossed with Alex in 2013, but I did not join the board until 2016. I believe God is telling us now, I am doing a new thing – it’s time to take a real step of faith to join in what He is doing. I ask you to pray for wisdom for the leadership both in Uganda and here in the States. We need a stronger organization and a larger base here to help meet the needs of the church and ministries in Uganda. In Uganda, we need larger facilities to accommodate the church growth and consolidation of ministries in a central location. Thousands of Ugandans need salvation and then discipleship. This will then lead to service, Ugandans helping Ugandans know the Lord and meet their economic and social needs. This is the vision from God that set Alex and Faith on their journey. We love having you on this journey with the Lord, with them, and with us.
God bless you as we celebrate the joy of Christ’s birth, and the eternal life that He made available to us.
In His Service,
May God Bless You and Keep You in His Grace
Please pray with us and continue your support.
